Privacy
Haunt Cam never collects, stores or sends your data. Updated October 27, 2026.
Your camera
The Chrome extension changes your camera picture inside Google Meet. Every frame is processed on your own computer, in your browser. No frame, face shape or recording is sent to us or to anyone else. The only place your picture goes is the call you are in, exactly as it would without Haunt Cam.
This website works the same way: the camera preview is processed in your browser and never uploaded.
What the extension remembers
It keeps your settings in your browser: whether the ghost is on, which look you picked and how fast it appears. They never leave your device. Removing the extension removes them.
Permissions
- meet.google.com: to change your camera picture in Google Meet. It doesn't read your messages, contacts or anything else on the page.
- Storage: to remember your settings.
- Context menus: to show the same controls when you right-click the ghost icon.
No tracking
There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no third-party scripts in the extension.
